The general internist provides continuing, comprehensive care for common illnesses such as colds, sore throats, allergies, back pain, flu, and urinary tract infections.

The internist is also trained to handle more complex problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, thyroid disease, asthma, atherosclerosis, and arthritis as an example.

Internists are trained to provide gynecological care as well. Our general internists are Board Certified primary care physicians who will see you for routine care, preventive health care services, and periodic health care checkups.
